Our client, Mark Gilsenan, has been an outstanding community champion and graciously nominated AADI as Intel‘s signature charity partner! Mark’s youngest son, Daniel, who is non-verbal, has been matched with assistance dog Piper, and the difference Piper has made is remarkable.
Before Piper joined the family, Daniel faced challenges like running off without understanding the dangers, making even simple tasks, like grocery shopping, very difficult.
Since Piper’s arrival, Daniel has become noticeably calmer in daily situations. A wonderful example of Piper’s impact was during Daniel’s First Holy Communion, where he was able to sit through the entire ceremony—something that was previously very challenging. Piper has also made it possible for the family, avid GAA fans, to attend matches together, ensuring Daniel’s safety and comfort.
AADI does not receive government funding and provides assistance dogs free of charge to families. This is only possible through the incredible support of our communities and corporate partnerships.
